Motorcycle & Dirtbike Swingarm Tuning
Swingarm and Link Service should be performed on dirt bikes at least once a season if the bike is used regularly. This service consists of removing the shock, the link assembly, and the swingarm if necessary, and lubricating the needle bearings with grease and cleaning the seals and inspecting for wear and damage. A regularly serviced swingarm and link assembly can last several seasons, even when ridden in extreme conditions. When left un-serviced, handling and suspension problems often develop due to either play in bearings or frozen links, swingarms, and axles.
Headset Service is less of a concern, but periodically needs maintenance like the swingarm and link bearings. We routinely install zerk fittings into steering stems - so in the future the headset can be serviced at home with a grease gun.
Other general services include wheel bearing replacement, basic welding (steel or aluminum), minor pipe repair, fork tube straightening, limited machine work, shock heim joint replacement, and other services. Just call and ask - and if we can’t help you we can probably tell you who can.
We have the specialized tools and knowledge to work on all types of suspension, whether it be KTM PDS shocks, Ohlins forks and shocks, or Honda twin chamber USD forks. We regularly spends time riding many of customers’ bikes making sure that we are indeed getting the results you are looking for.
